about
Hi! I'm stillmen. I spend most of my time writing scripts and small web apps for my own use, then over-engineering the servers they run on.
This very page is served from a VPS I manage myself — nginx in front, Let's Encrypt for TLS, and a handful of services humming along behind it. I believe the best way to learn how the web works is to run a piece of it yourself.
When I'm not tinkering with infra, I'm building personal dashboards and utilities in PHP, Python, and JavaScript.
running on this box
Reverse proxy & TLS termination for every service on this server, including the page you're reading.
Fast reverse proxy endpoints so machines behind NAT at home can reach the public internet.
Self-hosted uptime checks that ping my services and yell at me when something falls over.
Containerized deployments with a web UI to manage stacks without SSH-ing in every time.
A private dashboard of small PHP & Python utilities I built for daily use — notes, trackers, and automations.
A single hand-written HTML file. No frameworks, no build step, no trackers. View source — that's all of it.
